TASARIM – MOBİLYA – TÜKETİCİ İLİŞKİSİ
Tasarım genel anlamda bir planın gerçekleştirilmesi ve bir ürünün görünüş ve fonksiyonlarına karar verilmesi sürecidir. Günümüzde pek çok üretici tasarımın önemini tüketicinin tasarım beklentilerini karşılamak üzere oluşturulan üretim ve satış stratejisi olarak vurgulamaktadır. Tüketici mobilya satın alırken, zevkine uygun seçim yaparken, fiyat konusunu da göz önünde bulundurmak zorundadır. Mobilya satın alındığında uzun süre kullanılan bir üründür. Bu anlamda tüketiciler fiyat, estetik ve konfor özelliklerinin yanı sıra kalite ve dayanım özelliğini de göz önünde bulundurmaktadır. Gelir düzeyi yükseldikçe tüketici, satın alacağı mobilyalarda değeri sadece fiyat ile ölçmemektedir. Tasarım değeri de önem kazanmaktadır. Bu da yüksek standartlarda üretim gereğini beraberinde getirmektedir. Bu çalışmada tüketicinin kişisel yaşam ortamlarını oluştururken tercihlerini etkileyen faktörlerle üreticinin tasarım stratejileri incenlenmektedir.
Mobilya tasarımının, mimari ve endüstrinin diğer dallarındaki tasarımlardan farkı bulunmamaktadır. Dolayısıyla bu dallarda kullanılan tasarım yöntemlerini mobilya tasarımları için de kullanmak mümkündür. Mobilya tasarımında işlev, teknoloji, ekonomi, orijinallik ve estetik kavramları ön planda tutulmaktadır. Mobilya tasarımı ilkeleri aynen mimarlık ve endüstri tasarımlarında olduğu gibi denge, devamlılık ve hakimiyettir. Mobilya tasarım elemanları biçim, ölçek, oran ve ritim, renk ve dokudur. Mobilya tasarımcısı tasarım elemanlarını mobilya tasarım ilkeleri ( denge, devamlılık, hakimiyet ) ışığında birleştirerek bir birlik oluşturmakta ve mobilyayı ortaya koymaktadır.
DESIGN – FURNITURE – CONSUMER RELATIONSHIP
In general, design is the process of realizing a plan and deciding on the appearance and functions of a product. Today, many manufacturers emphasize the importance of design as a production and sales strategy created to meet the design expectations of the consumer. When purchasing furniture, the consumer has to consider the price issue while choosing according to his taste. It is a product that is used for a long time when furniture is purchased. In this sense, consumers consider quality and durability as well as price, aesthetics and comfort. As the income level rises, the consumer does not measure the value of the furniture he will buy only with the price. Design value is also gaining importance. This brings with it the need for production at high standards. In this study, the factors affecting the preferences of the consumer while creating their personal living environments and the design strategies of the manufacturer are examined.
Furniture design is no different from designs in other branches of architecture and industry. Therefore, it is possible to use the design methods used in these branches for furniture designs. In furniture design, the concepts of function, technology, economy, originality and aesthetics are kept in the foreground. Furniture design principles are balance, continuity and dominance, just like in architectural and industrial designs. Furniture design elements are form, scale, proportion and rhythm, color and texture. The furniture designer combines the design elements in the light of furniture design principles (balance, continuity, dominance), creating a unity and presenting the furniture.

AHŞAP MALZEMENİN İÇ MEKAN VE MOBİLYA TASARIMINDA KULLANIMI
Çok eski çağlardan beri kullanılmakta olan ahşap, günümüzde de çok sık tercih edilen bir malzemedir. Ahşap daha çok mobilya malzemesi olarak görülse de pencere ve kapı yapımlarında, yapının dış cephe kaplamalarında, döşeme-tavan kaplamalarında, iç dekorasyon tasarımları vb. bölümlerde kullanılmaktadır. Ahşap hem ekonomik hem de çok avantajlı bir malzemedir. Sağlık açısından zararsız oluşu, yangın anında betonarme ve çelik yapılara göre daha fazla ayakta kalması ve her alanda rahatça kullanılabilir olması dolayısı ile tercih edilen bir malzemedir. Yapılan bu çalışmada birinci bölümde araştırmanın amacı, kapsamı ve yöntemi, ikinci bölümde ahşap malzemenin özellikleri, üçüncü bölümde geçmişten günümüze mobilya kavramı, dördüncü bölümde ahşap mobilyaların bozulma nedenleri, korunması ve onarımı, beşinci bölümde ahşabın yapılarda, iç mekan ve mobilya tasarımında kullanımı, altıncı bölümde ise tüm bu bölümlerin ortak sonucu yer almaktadır.
THE USE OF WOOD MATERIALS INTERIORS AND FURNITURE Wood, which has been widely used through the centuries, is still a preferantial material. Wood, considered mainly as furniture material,is also used to make windows,doors, outdoor flashing,floor and ceiling cover. And it is used in the interior decoration designs, too. Wood is economical and also an advantagous material. Since it is healthy and it elicits heat insulation and it is more resistant to fire compared with concrete and steel constructions and can be used in many fields, it is a very preferantial material. In the first section of this study there is the aim of this research the contents and the method and in the second section you can see the properties of the wood stuff. In the next chapter you will find the concept of the furniture from the past to the present time. In the fourth chapter,you’ll read the reasons of the wood’s deformation,protection of the stuff, repairing it and in the fifth chapter you will find the indoor use of wood in buildings,houses and the wood as furniture. Finally in the sixth section you will find the common results of all these parts.
